Missing, Stolen or Impounded Livestock

CALL 254-865-7201 TO IDENTIFY AND CLAIM LIVESTOCK LISTED AS MISSING OR IMPOUNDED.  IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION ON ANY STOLEN LIVESTOCK CALL OR GO TO REPORT SUSPICIOUS CRIMINAL ACTIVITY  TO REPORT INFORMATION.

Coryell County residents are urged to check the "Missing Livestock" link periodically, if they are missing any livestock or located any livestock that they cannot find an owner.  Livestock (as used on this site) includes cattle, goats, horses, pigs, sheep and exotics.

The link to "Livestock Registration Form" is provided to livestock owners to download and fill out.  The form can then be mailed or brought into the Sheriff's Office.  This form is not any type of official registration.  It is provided to benefit the owners of livestock and for our use to update our livestock book.  This book is used to contact possible owners of livestock that are reported to be roaming at large such as on a public roadway.

The other two links provided, "Animal Control Policy" and the "Keeping Wild Animals Policy" are Federal and State laws pertaining to animal control.  Also included in these links are Coryell County Ordinances adopted by the Coryell County Commissioner's Court.

As of January 1, 2009 our office will be charging fees for impounding and or boarding estray animals.  By clicking here you can view the estray fee schedule for Coryell County.
